CROWN ROLLER MILL
Office | Tenant Improvement | 12,300 SF | Minneapolis, MN
Built in 1880, the Crown Roller Mill is one of four historic Mills that still stand along the Mississippi River near Northeast Minneapolis. After a devastating fire in 1983, the once “largest and best-equipped” flour mill was re-developed from an industrial focused facility to the class B office complex it is today.

Welsh Construction was called upon to bring Tanek’s vision for the first and second floor common area remodels to life. All areas were given high-end finishes that while modern, still complemented the building’s original historic design.

A dramatic glass backdrop was added to the lobby’s already unique water feature, bringing the beautiful piece of art into the 21st Century. New locker rooms, vending spaces and conference room were built, adding much needed amenities to the building. Upgrades were added to the existing patio including new furniture, grills, fireplace and seating areas making the deck patio that overlooks the Mississippi much more inviting.
