The Lighthouse of Waconia is an established senior living community located just southwest of Minneapolis. As time went by, Lighthouse wanted to add services to stay in touch with the needs of their community. To accomplish that, Welsh Construction began work on a 30-unit Assisted Living addition. Along with the addition, a portion of the existing building was remodeled to add new amenities.

Completed in summer 2012, the addition showcases a new Memory Care Center and wellness and rehabilitation area with a warm saltwater pool. The 80+ residents will now be able to get the exercise, physical therapy, and care they need without the hassle of leaving home.

A bistro, four-season porch, and community room round out the new amenities. Construction was completed in phases to allow the community to remain occupied.
