Welsh Construction recently completed our first project with
Northland Real Estate Group, LLC to build My Salon Suite’s
new location in Chanhassen. My Salon Suite is a national
franchise with a unique business model: provide flat-fee,
rentable units for esthetician entrepreneurs to run their their
own businesses on their own hours without the limitations
of being employed by a larger salon. There are currently six
My Salon Suite locations in Minnesota.

For this project Welsh was hired for construction services
and partnered with Lampert Architects. This building was
a ground-up, single-story, wood-framed retail build. It
features 35 individual units and totals 6,496 SF. The interior
was thoughtfully designed to maximize safety, privacy, and
functionality for tenants and their clients.

The project began in December of 2021 was completed
not only on time but 3.5 weeks ahead of schedule, as well
as within budget. This was a massive feat for the Welsh
team, as the project faced a delayed start which meant
winter building conditions and higher costs, unforeseen
complications with the local watershed, and severe increase
in inflation which greatly impacted the construction process
and materials procurement. The Welsh team developed
a very thorough and strategic value engineering process
which absorbed the consequences of the delays and higher
costs and contributed to the project’s successful and timely
completion!
