Ochs, a subsidiary of Securian Financial, delivers customized, comprehensive and innovative employee benefit solutions to their clients. Their team, located on the 18th floor of the Securian Financial building in downtown St. Paul, was looking for a modernized office space with a more open concept feeling to accommodate and encourage collaboration.

They partnered with Welsh Construction and Tanek Architects to bring their vision to life. The project began with furniture relocation to another floor in the building while major demolition and wall reconfiguration began. 
The old vinyl wall covering had not been sized on the walls, so all of the existing sheetrock had to be fully replaced before adding the new wall covering.

The updated office space features a new acoustical ceiling tile grid with lights and diffusers, new conference rooms, new cubicles and huddle spaces, wood island with seating in the breakroom, additional storage, new carpet, paint and finishes throughout, including a wood feature wall by the front reception area with their logo. They also added a full glass entry door with touchless access, which proved to be a gamechanger during a pandemic!

Overall the new office space serves their team well and has enhanced collaboration, efficiency and overall employee satisfaction.
