Welsh is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel Perry to our team! Dan joins us as Project Manager and brings with him over 17 years of construction experience and 24 years of U.S. Military experience as a Chief Petty Officer in the Construction Battalion (Seabees) of the U.S. Navy Reserve. Dan will be a part of our project management team, leading projects of all sizes, including new construction projects and tenant improvements.
Dan is a proven leader and teammate and is passionate about developing active communication and highly functioning team environments. Dan's most recent experience has been at a commercial general contractor in the southeast metro of the Twin Cities where he was a Project Manager and Estimator for over four years. While there, Dan lead projects of all sizes across numerous sectors of commercial construction, including 37 tenant improvements valued at over $24 million, including the $6 million fraternal student center renovation in the heart of the University of Minnesota campus.
Prior to his time as a Project Manager and Estimator, Dan served in the US Military as a Chief Petty Officer of the Construction Mechanic Amphibious Construction Battalion (Seabees) of the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he received numerous medals, honors and training over the course of a nearly 24-year military career.
Dan also has previous experience in leadership roles in several trade areas pertaining to construction, including wall systems, glass, HVAC, specialty hearths/fireplaces, concrete/masonry and residential home building.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the United States Navy A-School. He is an active member of IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) and serves on their board and is also an active member and board member of the St. Paul K9 Association, the Douglas Township Dakota County Planning Board and is a Navy Seabee Ball Committee Chair.
We are thrilled to have Dan join the project management team and are excited for the knowledge, leadership and energy he brings to Welsh.
